Toasty Toes

One down one to go! I finished this one up a few days ago and started the toe of the next one last night.

I'm really pleased with them so far, especially once I figured out the pattern. It took awhile to make sense of the pattern. I attempted to try them on, but figured out that it was too hard to try them on because of Catherine Claire (plus they are going to someone else, and I felt bad putting my feet in someone else's sock). I am really enjoying knitting them toe up. The foot is my least favorite part of knitting the sock and it is nice to have it over with first. Although, for some reason I like turning the heel and I kind of miss that.

Have a great Monday everyone!

The sock looks great! And I love the little knitting bag you have :o)

I'm don't mind knitting the foot actually. The worst for me is picking up sts on the heel flap for the gussets. That is the least fave part for me. The fave part would have to be turning the heel!

Just wanted to share a pregnancy "foot" story....

I got a pedicure on Friday... it was fun to get pampered and have my toes painted. I admired the nice polish job as I sat in the comfy chair and let them dry. Then I went about the rest of my day.

Saturday I was running around (the house) getting ready for the baby shower that afternoon. I hadn't paid much attention to myself until it was time to shower and get ready.

In the shower we have a little seat and that's what I put my foot on when I shave my legs (a must have for any pregnant woman wanting to shave with ease) -- well I put my foot up there and got a HUGE suprise... my toenails were painted a pretty shade of red!

I was so suprised! It was only then that I had remembered the pedicure I got the day before... why you ask did I just remember them... well this was the first time in 24 hours that I had actually SEEN my toes!

Funny the things you forget about when you can't see them!

:-) AL

Love the sock! What is the pattern you are working on?

I like the turning the heel part as well. It gives me a reference point to know once I do it that I'm on the home stretch after that. I haven't tried the toe first method yet. I've looked at some patterns but that's as far as I got...what seems appealing about it though, is that it could be tried on as you go and if you think you are running out of yarn you can make them a little shorter and not have to worry about running out.

I hope one day I will learn how to knit toe up socks! It looks like it would be so cool to try. I feel the same way about turning the heel part! LOL That yarn is really a pretty color too.
